MMHA Annual General Membership Meeting 03-2021
Virtual Zoom – March 27, 2021 – 10:30 am

Motion to accept the minutes of January 11th, 2020: moved by Wendy Robertson, 2nded by Albert Crowder, Carried.
Business arising: confusion still exists between the roles and responsibilities of MMHA, NSHN Auxiliary Richards Landing site, NSHN Foundation and the MMHA Foundation. A brochure is in progress; however, it requires a joint meeting of all parties. This is on hold due to the pandemic.
Correspondence: letter received from our cleaner at the locum house, indicating she is retiring as of May 1st. We accept with regret and will seek a replacement.
Treasurer’s Report: motion to accept the financial statements for MMHA and BridgeLink for the year ending October 31st, 2020. Moved by: Julie Gardiner, 2nded by Mark Henderson, Carried.
Committee Reports: MMHA Chairperson, Lavera Crack, discussed the lack of fundraising due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Dr. Lupien will retire as of December 2021. A replacement is waiting in the wings and will join the team.
BridgeLink Chairperson, Albert Crowder, reported that thanks to Dr. Lupien our recruitment needs can be modified. MMHA supports the Clinic financially. A thank you to Anna Hamilton for her guidance in restructuring the mortgage. This has saved us money needed to support the Clinic. We have and need to continue to have a happy Clinic staff.
General Discussion: Dale Kingsley asked if there were plans to have a third physician. This was investigated and unfortunately our funding would be cut drastically by the MOH and Long Term Care.

Lavera Crack called a meeting for Monday, March 29th, 7 p.m., to appoint executive officers for MMHA and BridgeLink.
